You can't have a website about love without including God's love. When it comes to God's Love, the magnitude of it is more than most of us can even comprehend. As 1 John 4:17 says, "God is Love." That being said, the whole existence of this website stems from God.
When I decided to include a "God's Love" section to this site, I wanted to do it in the form of a blog to share more personal, heartfelt stories about God, about Love and about Life. However, I was a little intimidated . Although my love for Christ is strong, my knowledge of the Bible is not what it needs to be. So, after writing the first article "Having a relationship with God when you didn't grow up in the church", I decided to invite some friends to help out. Meet our wonderful contributors:
My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses love, doesn't know God because God IS love - so you can't know him if you don't love. 1 John 4:17 MSG
MEET KELLEY There are so many blogs you can choose to read. I read a lot of them too. I started this one because a friend asked if I’d be interested, and I was! My name is Kelley, I’m a life-long Buckeye from Ohio, and I am on a journey. Just like you. Where I was is thankfully not where I am…and hopefully not where I will be. God’s will for my life is being revealed over time – so is yours. Maybe this blog is where we travel together for a time. Our earthly life is not easy, but God didn’t promise easy. He promised he would be there for the journey and I’m really thankful for that. My journey includes being a wife of a police officer for 25 years, a mom to 3 “step”kids, one birth child, a 911 dispatcher, and a master’s level pastoral counselor. I teach critical incident stress management to first responders, and am working on becoming a chaplain. I’m a caretaker for my 94 year old mom, an empty nester, and grandma to six grandkids at the age of 52. If you can relate to any, part, most or all of what I’ve mentioned here, we have some life to share! Thanks for stopping by – hope you stay for awhile!
